Dear Papa,

Miss Foote has been sick, so we havn’t been able to have any school of late, and when Miss Foote became well, Miss Corey got sick, and she is sick in bed yet, but we hope will soon be better.

When Mr. Meyer gave me my lesson yesterday, he told me that I had a very musical cousin, and he said he thought that Julie would get on very nicely.

Miss Price is coming to stay with us all night to night, and Miss Lizzie Foote tomorrow.

Yesterday Clara and I were over at Daisy’s all the morning, and we had a very nice time meeting, and reading. In the afternoon we had a ̭frollic̭ in the snow, and then had a grand game of “Kickeri,” we had great fun playing it, and we didn’t one of us get hurt.

Dear Papa I hope that you are well, and that “Mary’s night Ride” is still prospering, and with much much love I am

Your

Susy.
