Dear Charley—

Very good. Put $750-worth on the furnace, & let the nursery go.

Charley, have the men instructed to confine themselves strictly to the cellar. There can’t be any occasion for their going up into the house. If they should go up stairs, all the damage done in the house in the last two months would be laid on them. I hope they will have the right kind of a man along to boss them.

I’m glad that job is provided for, & am much obliged to you.
