The Holbrooks always lose ⅔ of their Koomiss, too, I believe, in unbottling. Now there is no sense in all people being idiots: take a big 2-quart pickle-jar, up-end your Koomis-bottle, & uncork downwards into that. Then you’ll save it all.
Patrick says he asked, at Moses’s, for Loefland’s Extract of Malt, & showed them my spelling of the name—& they said “all right” & handed him the bottle which reached you. Maybe it is all right; still, the first time you are sending down town, you better get Loefland’s.
I always told you to keep a few sermons ahead—write them in the woods instead of always loafing. If I knew the ropes channel I’d write you one, cheerfully.
House is gietting better & better.
Very very sorry Harmony had a bad knight, but mighty thankful that she takes to the h Koumiss.
